Erin Williamson (b. 1995) is a fourth year BFA student from Whitevale, Ontario who specializes in found object sculpture and welding. Through her work she strives to create a juxtaposition between comfort and repulsion in relation to the human body and our physical and emotional experiences with one another. Experimentation with a variety of found materials and textures as well as bodily subject matter are very important in her work and she is greatly influenced by sculptors such as Alina Szapocznikow, Natsuko Hattori, Senga Nengudi and Portia Munson.
