On February 28th, the BFA class of 2017 hosted an Art Silent Auction at the Grad Club! The event was a huge hit! Families, friends, and members of the community came to look at our work, drink, and be merry. This is one of our most successful fundraiser. It provided a chance to blow off some steam and appreciate all our work together as a class! Many thanks to the Grad Club, thank you for providing us with just the right ambiance. We really appreciate you for letting us use your space.
Every year 4th-year print students go to North Adams Massachusetts to experience large scale print making.
This was a three day trip where not only the students got to work on printing their wood-cuts, but went on hikes and visited galleries.
For Queen's Homecoming we decided to sell t-shirts. Using Ontario Hall's print studio, original stencils, and sheer Woman power, we made some pretty sweet t-shirts. The first day we sold out in 10 minutes. The second day we had a lineup waiting for us when we got there. Overall we made a total of 1,500 dollars! Great start to our fundraising and potentially a t-shirt business.
BFA Class of 2017 has had such a busy year. We are so excited for you to see what we've been working on and some of fun things we've been doing.
